Catalyst / setup – SoS / momoburst – Nvidia reported FQ2 FY27 results after the close on Wed 26 Aug: revenue $96.2B (+106% YoY) vs. $92.37B consensus, EPS $2.22 vs. $2.09 consensus, with Data Center up 18% sequentially to reach $89.0 billion, and guidance implying 70% revenue growth for the next year (fiscal 2028). Shares jumped 8.3% in the afternoon session on 27 Aug as the beat-and-raise landed. Volume today (28 Aug) is running 298.91M vs. an average daily volume of 129.69M — roughly 2.3x average, strong confirmation.
Result – Trade still running, SIP momo burst so closed 50% at 1% move at 227.07 16:02, I made a mistake with my alerts, I thought the 2% alert triggered so closed another 50% at 227.24 at 17:09 (this was still the 1% alert), the 2% alert also trigger so closed another 50% at 229.48 at 17:45, leaving a very small runner running against original SL.
